Codeberg，正式名称为Codeberg e.V.，是德国一家非营利组织，成立于2018年9月。该组织运营同名的开源代码托管平台Codeberg.org，该平台采用Gitea的分支Forgejo搭建，为开源项目提供代码托管、静态页面托管、协作翻译及持续集成等服务。

[编辑]Codeberg以Forgejo提供在线协作式软件开发环境[4]，以Codeberg Pages提供静态页面托管[5]，以Weblate提供协作翻译网络平台[6]，并以Woodpecker CI及Forgejo Actions提供CI/CD环境[7]。
Gitea的分支Forgejo也在Codeberg上开发。[8]
历史
[编辑]Codeberg e.V.于2018年9月由七名创始成员成立，并于2019年1月以Codeberg.org的名义上线。[9] 该组织选择欧盟作为其总部及计算机基础设施所在地，原因是成员担心，若恶意行为者依据《数字千年版权法》提出恶意版权主张，托管于美国的软件项目代码库可能会被移除。[10]一个月后，Codeberg e.V.已拥有25名成员，Codeberg.org则托管了333个代码库，共有379名用户。[9]
2022年，软件自由保护组织发起了“放弃GitHub”运动，Codeberg是被推荐的替代方案之一。[11]2022年12月，针对Gitea项目方向出现的争议性变化，Codeberg推出了Gitea的分支Forgejo，起初会同步Gitea上发生的所有更改。[12]2024年2月，Forgejo项目决定停止同步Gitea的更改[13]。
截至2025年11月，Codeberg托管了超过30万个代码库，拥有超过20万个注册用户，其成员也增至1208人。[8][3]
近年来，多个大型开源项目已从GitHub迁移至Codeberg：2025年11月底，由于“GitHub不再展现出对工程卓越的追求”[14]，Zig编程语言宣布迁移至Codeberg。约同一时间，Dillo的创始人宣布离开GitHub，包括在Codeberg上设立镜像，原因是GitHub“过度关注大语言模型和生成式人工智能”。[14]2026年2月，Gentoo Linux宣布进驻Codeberg，并将GitHub试图迫使其使用Copilot作为迁移的动机。[15]
2026年7月，Codeberg修订了其服务条款，禁止用户分享氛围编程及与加密货币相关的项目。[16]
