Welcome at the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) in Potsdam, Germany, your host institution of the International Olympiad in Informatics 2027. We are delighted to welcome some of the world’s most talented young students - students who discovered their passion for computer science and mathematics at an early age and who are eager to explore, create, and solve challenging problems. 

We hope your time in Potsdam will inspire you - not only through the competition itself, but also by introducing you to a place where many future innovators begin their journey. The IOI brings together minds that build tomorrow: young people who have the curiosity, creativity, and determination to shape the digital future. 

Hosting the IOI 2027 is a great honor and responsibility for the HPI. We look forward to welcoming the best young programming talents from all over the world to Potsdam. When young people from different countries and cultures come together, learn from one another and form friendships, the IOI becomes an experience that goes far beyond programming.
