Aitor Argomaniz — CTO and founder, building software with AI agents

Aitor Argomaniz

CTO and 3× founder, 26 years building software. I design systems, take products from zero to production, and lead the teams that build them. These days that team is a few people plus a fleet of coding agents.

  • Nevermined · co-founder & CTO (2021–). Payments infrastructure for AI agents: x402, MCP and A2A integrations, Contracts in Solidity, App and SDKs in TypeScript and Python.
  • Keyko · co-founder & CTO (2019–2021). Remote-first engineering studio, grown from 5 to 40+ people.
  • Ocean Protocol · VP Engineering (2018–2019). From whitepaper to mainnet in about a year; engineering team from 1 to 15.
  • Earlier: big-data architecture at Stratio and everis UK (HSBC, Virgin Media), and a lot of Java.

How I work now. In 2026 I merged ~980 pull requests, up from ~110 in 2025. Same person, different setup: multi-model coding agents working in architecture → TDD → QA → review roles, human merge gates, and a weekly review of cost and rework.
