Miscellaneous WordPress-Develop update notes. #75984
Description
A few notes following a review of commits from the Gutenberg integrations, some of which I'll start a PR to cover myself.
Anyone with suitable permission should feel free to add to this list. It would be good to discuss any removals below and do so with strike outs.

I intend on tackling the pluggable functions during my Friday. I've been digging into the
wp-buildpackage code quite a bit, and I think it should be possible to include thefunction_exists()checks when building for the plugin but removing them when building for WPtrunk.desrosj commentedon Mar 3, 2026
I've created #76062 and #76048 for the pluggable functions issue. I much prefer to just remove the checks entirely through #76062. But both accomplish the same goal.

I've also created #76098 and #76113 to address inconsistencies in the results of the build script that can result from absolute paths being used.

I believe that almost all the issues raised here have been resolved.
This seems to be a feature enhancement rather than an improvement in code quality or a bug fix. It would probably be best to open a new issue.
