Update error occurred while upgrading 2.2.3 -> 2.2.4 #2756

Describe the bug

When using the updater on macos to update from 2.2.3 to 2.2.4, it runs the download, extracts the update then fails with an error message.

Update Error! An error occurred while running the updater. Please try again later.

Perform an automatic update from version 2.2.3.
