Hey, I'm Ale!

I'm a software developer from Colombia currently between Spain and Germany, working full-time at FastAPI Cloud.

I love building things, from legos to software, along with art in all its forms, and exploring the world.

Selected Work

Things I've built and contributed to lately.

FastAPI Cloud

The platform for deploying FastAPI apps. A summary of what I've shipped since day one.

Full-Stack FastAPI Template

As part of the FastAPI team, I've been contributing to the template since late 2023. I built the current React frontend from scratch, replacing the old Vue one, led its migrations to Chakra UI v3 and then shadcn/ui with Tailwind, set up the end-to-end tests with Playwright, and moved package management to Bun and uv workspaces.

Palim

A personal project for keeping track of books, films, and TV shows. It started with me and a few friends, and it's now open to everyone.

Through My Lens

I like to capture life as it happens. I shoot film but also enjoy digital photography. Here are some photos from my collection.

"Your photography is a record of your living, for anyone who really sees."
